Apologies for being a while since uploading content, I have had a very busy and exciting time in the last couple of years with events and taking my Sculptures to markets and a range of commissions. Its always fun doing marketsobviously theres the hope of selling your work, but the interest and conversations that you start are very much the joy of sharing your vision with others.
People are often interested in what my sculptures represent even sometimes when they are not pagan find themselves drawn to them. Many are suprised that they arent bronze when they pick them up which is always nice. A sculpture often starts conversations about what inspired me,obviously this is about my beliefs as a Pagan and my connection to the snippets of ancient woodland in South London that make up the remains of the Great North Wood

Discovering the Antlered Goddess through Sculpture

I have worked magically with the Antlered dieties since I was about 11yrs old seeing them in my spiritual work and in Nature both inwardly and outwardly. Back then there was very little reference to antlered gods and none to Antlered Goddess although she was with me so often, It would be years later before I would see any images of her and the single statue in the British Museum. In the 70's and early 80's the only references were the Native American Deer Mother some suggested folklore of the Reindeer herder culture. Herne was rediscovered by the pagan community due to the increased popularity of Celtic culture in popular history programmes and the new version of Robin Hood brought to tv by Richard Carpenter. However how does this brink me to sculpture, well it was the lack of statures and the like which brought me to the process of making my own starting with the gaia style Goddesses and Cernnunos based Images which were available.Over the years I mostly made them for myself...

Winged Herne or Cernunnunos

Over the years of working with Herne he as often appered with wings especially when working magiclly or when asking for his help during healing people, however again i never found any representations of him in this aspect which led to my sculptures of him, in the Goetia there is a reference to the demon Furfur who can present himself in this aspect.
